VIVOCITY
I really like workin in events. Fun and you get to see different kinds of people and all.
So yes, these few days have been kinda busy.
Went for two interviews on Friday for the upcomin job for the launchin of VivoCity, and as well as another job for some company called Hella. (Not the Hair dye, Wella.) Rushed over to tutor the kids, and went over to Gardens after that to have supper with the HRM people. we went to Liquid kitchen but i left earlier as some things screwed up. Ohwells.

Saturday.
So had tuition in the morning again as the kids' exams are nearing, headed for a movie-monster house, with jussy as he has two free tickets for Golden Village. The show was pretty entertaining, but ended rather fast. Made my way to meet jeff for a lunch and to get some stuffs from him, and thanks to him, i saved a lot of time travellin to and fro to get the stuffs. :)
Met Joanna soon after to make our way to Shangri-La hotel to work for some event. Well, apparently the event was some sort of big event for the Indians, as the Bollywood star, if im not wrong, named Sha-Roo-Kum? came to asia, so he had a concert bein held there. Worked as a receptionist plus Usher over there for the night. Surprising, President Nadan came to the Hotel too, but i'm not sure if he came for this event.
They requested 15 chinese girls to help out, and we were all dressed in black Gowns, and the place was like freezing to death. -.-
Was pretty surprised to see Alvin Neo and Engmeng at the event as well as they were managin the backstage and all.
Today was a really tiring day. Worked for the job which is somehow to publicise and create awareness bout the New Retail and lifestyle destination-VivoCity.
Vivocity will be located at HarbourFront, and right next to the HBF MRT. Its the LARGEST Shopping area with 300 shops as well as a 2nd TANGS opening there too. It is linked with HBF MRT and also the Sentosa Express(Monorail, which starts operations in Dec).
A new GOLDEN VILLAGE with the widest screens will be situated there as well. Etc etc.
So yes, It will open on the 7th of october.
Cant wait to check it out soon after that.
The girls were divided into different themes such as beach Wear, IT, clubbing, sports etc. I was in the Sports theme which was together with 3 other girls. And there were two groups of 4 for the sport theme.
It was pretty interesting, and the girls all met as early as 9am as Plaza Singapura and the in-charge took us all to Jean Yip Hairdressing, to make up, do your hair if you need to, change to the Outfit that they had provided and then off to work.
And what more, most of the clothes were sponsored by Esprit and some by Forever 21.
I will skip the details, and show some pictures instead. Definitely a very tiring day.

My set of clothes.

The Diary: Bringin' you to Europe Part 3
12th September 2006
Well, the 3rd day in London.
Mom went off early in the mornin to her meetin while daddy and me were still sleeping. We then woke up at bout 10am to prepare and went for the Hotel's breakfast at round 11am (it supposed to end at 11am actually).
Daddy and i then spent the rest of the day together. Mom gave dad a task which is to check out the hotel that we will be changin to tomorrow. Well, cause the 10 Days Europe trip will have a coach to pick us up at a particular place really Early in the morning and that hotel we will be moving to will be nearer to the place, so it will be more convenient for us.
And the task also includes checking out where is the place that the coach will pick us up, and another hotel that we will be stayin on the last day of the trip when we are back in London.
So daddy and i walked to our nearby underground station: Green Park. And purchased a ticket each. The value of the ticket is decide upon how many stops are you goin to travel. Such as like 4 stops 4 stops = 3 pounds, 6 stops= 4.5 pounds etc.. so even if you want to travel for only One stop, you still have to pay for the 4 stops ticket.

The map stated the nearest station to the Hotel we will be moving, which was 3 stops away. So daddy and i got ourselves the 3 pounds ticket each (S$9!!!) for ONE single trip, no refunds like Singapore too.
Inside the train station looks like this..

The train is super small as compared to Singapore. No aircon at all, and it's kinda stuffy, Old and jerky while it was moving. Now, i feel Singapore is so much cleaner.
We reached and daddy followed the map to see which direction we are headin to. But we saw some shops and decided to take a walk over there first.
And we went into a Saver Supermarket! Which is definitely cheaper than the normal supermarkets in London!

Here are some of the special items that i think they cant be found in Singapore.

I bought this snack that i remember Sg was selling something similar few years back then. And i remember i love it very much. It was very similar, and oh man, its very tasty!!

Cereal snack!
Daddy and i then begin to make our way to search for the hotel as what mom marked on the map. I SWEAR TO YOU THE WHOLE SEARCHIN TRIP MADE US WALKED FOR 5 HOURS.
My feet had blisters and all after that man. -.-
Well, it happened that Mom marked the cross on the map at a slightly different area (but near) to the hotel area we are goin to move to. And as you know, the routes and all in the Map is So compressed and small, till that little deviation means FEW streets away!!!!
And we had been roaming that wrong street to and fro for hours in search for that place.
And durin that roaming session, daddy and i came across a small cafe house and had lunch there.

Oh yes, that was our lunch again.
More breads!
So it was during this lunch time, when i read the map and told daddy that the cross seemed wrongly marked, dad then checked and well, phew! at least we search no more.
We found the hotel shortly after that, and went to search for the next place, which was pretty near. And then the final place again. We walked for another 1-2 hours again. But well, sightseeing on the way.
Came across the British Library.

Me.

Daddy.
Went to another station, and took the train back to our hotel area. And we bought fruits at this booth outside the underground station!

It was damn nice!!! SWEET! :D
Dad and i then shopped around our area before heading back to the hotel and i saw a couple of things on the way.

It's always Bread, Bread and Bready.

hahaha.
Oh oh oh! And we found A market!!!!!!!!!
Finally, i was excited cause it means cheaper things!! But No man, still as expensive!! Its just antiques and all. -.-

Lasly, thats me.

Back to hotel and the Mac 99Pence (S$3) burger was my dinner, that was the cheapest food i could find. Mom went to her company's dinner and dad went roamin on his own at night.
I miss London..........
